This week, we’re highlighting three significant Tiffany items. The two diamond rings and gold cup are in our showcases along with other Tiffany pieces.
First up: a 4.12-carat blazer of a diamond. This remarkable D-color, VS-clarity stone (there is no better color) came to us from a Maryland jeweler whose client’s wife “just didn’t like it.” She really wanted a pear shape instead. Well, well.
Tiffany does not take back goods, nor do they offer trade-ins. So the gent brought the ring to his local jeweler to resell. Many months ago, we offered $100,000 — a fair market value. (Tiffany originally sold it for about $350,000.) After months of trying to find another buyer, they accepted our offer. What does this mean for you? You can now buy this yellow gold Tiffany beauty, complete with original papers, for $125,000 — roughly one-third of its original price. And we do take trade-ins!
